Education Experience
Director for Fall Festival of Shakespeare 2012, 2013
Worked with a Directing Partner to audition, pick a show, cut, cast, and rehearse 50+ Students in a shakespeare production over the course of 5 weeks culminating in 3 in school performances and then show moves to the main stage at Shakespeare & Company as part of the Fall Festival of Shakespeare
Technical Designer for The Fall Festival of Shakespeare at Taconic Hills & Chatham High School 2012-2014, 2016
Traveled to 2 schools for 4 weeks per year, In charge of teaching groups of between 10 and 50+ students any and all aspects of technical theater. Met with directors and collaborated to create a concept for the show to suit the participating students and the Fall Festival aesthetic. Created large productions on a minimal budget by pulling and modifying existing scenic elements.
Winter and Spring Residencies 2012-2013:
Over 10 unique performances per season each in a different space. In charge of coordinating all aspects of lighting a production (focusing, cueing, programming. and running the show) and designing/building the scenic elements. Experience meeting with directors from many different organizations to determine the production environment and any special needs for their varying performances
Shakespeare Young Company Spring and Summer Sessions 2011- 2013
Created a minimalist set for training programs. Designed, programmed and operated the light board for a weekend of performances
New England Tour of Romeo and Juliet 2014 & Macbeth and Twelfth Night 2016
In addition to being a member of the cast, upon arrival at the school or performance space was in charge of all aspects involving Lighting & Sound in 2014 and Lighting & Set in 2016. Great experience making many important quick decisions on the fly. Walking into a space hours before performance, I have determined where and what the lighting console was, whether there was the personnel to run the board during the show (and how to coordinate cuing if there was not), and to design the show with the lights that were available/accessible. With sound I had to assess whether or not we could patch into the system from onstage, and to run sound check. During the transfer to the final leg of the run outdoors at The Mount, I led the design and the construction of the outdoor stage
